POSH, from the complaint to the annual report

Keep the Internal Committee properly made up, run each inquiry in the order the Act and Rules set, with a clock on every step, and file the annual report from the same cases.

What your team gets

The committee register

The Presiding Officer, members and the external member, with their terms, checked against the Act's rules: at least half the members women, and an external member.

The inquiry, step by step

Copy to the respondent, the reply, conciliation if asked for, interim relief, hearings, findings, the report, the employer's action and any appeal, each with its date and clock.

A quorum check for hearings

Who sat is recorded for each hearing, and the inquiry checks there were at least three, with the Presiding Officer.

Kept to the committee

A POSH case opens only for the committee and the people it assigns. A compliance head can open one for an hour, with a written reason, and the Presiding Officer is told at once.

A report that can't change

The committee's report is frozen and sealed when it is sent. Corrections to a step need a reason and keep the earlier entry in the history.

Letters in six languages

The cover letter for the complaint copy, meeting invitations, the notice to the person named and the outcome, kept exactly as sent.

A summary, not legal advice. Your lawyers will know which rules apply to your company.

Said plainly

  • The product records the inquiry and keeps its clocks. The committee runs it and decides.
  • Hearings happen in person or by call, outside the product; the committee records each one.
  • The Local Committee, for workplaces with fewer than 10 people, is run by the District Officer, not here.
